Lion Kirkland Nixon, QFSM, IDSA, MBE, JP, MJF

Lion Kirkland was a charter member of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman and a past president (1979-1980). He had been the chief of the Cayman Islands Fire Service for a number of years and was well respected in the community. After he retired from the Fire Service he was able to focus on his love of growing orchids.

Lion Mike Simmons was a charter member of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman and was President for 1975-1976. He was a stalwart member of the Lions Club with a particular interest in the youth of Cayman.

Lion Agnes Farrell of the St Kitts (Basseterre) Lions Club departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. She served in many areas and one of which was Secretary. As a dedicated lion, she was the founder of the Reach for Recovery St Kitts Breast Cancer support group. The District Governor Lion Sherwin Greenidge, MJF join with the other Lions and Leos of Sub-District 60 B in expressing deepest condolences to the Lions of St Kitts (Basseterre) Lions and the family of Lion Agnes. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

The Lions and Leos of District 60 join with the Lions of St Kitts (Basseterre) in mourning the passing of Lion Eustace Caines, MJF. Lion Eustace was one of the founding members of the St Kitts (Basseterre) Lions Club which was founded on December 8, 1979 He served as Region 2 Chair (2007 - 2008), MD Council Secretary/Treasurer -2004 - 2005, Cabinet Secretary/Treasurer - 2003 – 2004 , Zone Chair 2C - 2001 – 2002 He was recognized for his sterling contribution and was awarded Lion of the Year in 1991 - 1992 & 1996 – 1997. Our heartfelt sympathies to the Lions of St Kitts and the immediate family of Lion Caines. May his soul continue to rest in eternal peace

PDG Lion Milton Pinnock, MJF, LM

Lion Milton is the Charter President of the Lions Club of Mona and his leadership has left an enduring legacy of excellence, sacrificial service, commitment and love of humanity that will continue to guide the Club in the future.

He joined the Lions Movement in October 1980 as a member of the Lions Club of Spanish Town and at his passing had 36 years of perfect attendance.

The Lions International Motto “WE SERVE” was exemplified in the life of Lion Leando Nibbs, MJF, PP, CM, LM. As a Charter member of the Lions Club of Tortola on April 27th, 1972 Lion Nibbs first served as “One Year Director” and throughout the years held numerous positions on the Executive Body including that of President. In addition to being a most active entrepreneur in the building of NIBBS Auto Sales, Lion Nibbs found the time and was most active and highly effective in every aspect of signature and other projects that meant so much in the lives of many.

Tribute to Lion Dr. Vary - from the Lions Club of St. Andrew.

Today we pay tribute to one of our own, Lion Dr. Vary Jones-Leslie Breakenridge who lost her life tragically on July 18, 2017. Our sincere condolences go out to her Lions family, her immediate family, friends and colleagues.

She was born on August 14th 1954 and transitioned July 18th, 2017.

  • Was instrumental in the formation of the Leo Club of New Kingston
  • Zone Chair 2005 -2006
  • Served the board positions besides Treasure
  • Lioness and Lion of the Year and numerous other awards

Over the years, Lion Marie participated in most of the club’s activities and maintained100% attendance. She had a passion for the health, youth and sight activities. Whenever she has spare time, she enjoyed the beach, reading, board games, dancing and watching movies.
She transitioned on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

Completing his 93rd birthday On August 25 last PDG Johan Gever transitioned on Saturday October 7, 2017.
He was District Governor District 60 1981-1982 (the jurisdiction of at that time)
He was a member of the L.C. Paramaribo Central. For the past 6 years, PDG Johan Gever was a privileged member
He leaves to mourn his lady Eleonoor and children along with the 60A Lions family and others.

Lion Vicky was a Charter member of the Lions Club of Downtown Kingston and served in many capacities including President, Leo Advisor and Zone Chair. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Saxthorpe Methodist Church, 143 Constant Spring Rd, Kingston (directions attached). The Thanksgiving Service will start at 11:00 am. Lions and Leos are asked to wear their vests.
